OATA Continuing Education Refund Policy:

It is hereby the policy of the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association to reimburse the tuition cost for the "Name of course" provided the following procedures are followed:

  • A written request is made to the OATA PEC Sub-chair via email to [email protected] within 30 days from the conclusion of "CE Event Name."  All refund payments will be made at the discretion of the OATA PEC Chair and/or Sub-Chair.
  • A processing fee may be charged for not more than 33% of the cost of tuition.  Banquet tickets will not be reimbursed.
  • All refunds will occur after the conclusion of the "CE Event Name" with an accounting of the refunds made to the OATA Treasurer.
  • OATA reserves the right to cancel "Enter Name of Event" due to low enrollment. You will be notified approximately one week before the symposium if there are any changes.

Grievance Policy & Procedure
The Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association is committed to conducting all continuing education activities in strict conformance with the Board of Certification Approved Provider Program.  Additionally, the OATA will make every effort to comply with all policies set forth by the BOC.  However, the OATA recognizes that grievances may arise and will provide participants with the ability to express any complaints or concerns they may have.

When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance/complaint, the OATA Professional Education Committee will evaluate the nature of the complaint.  If the complaint is meritorious, the OATA Professional Education Committee will implement any necessary changes.   The complainant will receive a response from the OATA Professional Education Committee or designated staff within 5 business days.
